Today, I want to share a simple Avocado spread recipe that my daughter-in-law made. Personally, I am not a big fan of Avocado due to its buttery taste and the high cost of buying it in my area. However, my daughter-in-law found Avocados at a reasonable price in Bangalore, which changed my perspective.
Avocado is a native fruit of Mexico and Central America, rich in calories with a significant amount coming from monounsaturated oleic acid. Consuming monounsaturated fats over polyunsaturated fats can aid in weight loss and decrease the risk of diabetes.

In India, avocados are mainly grown in select areas such as the hill slopes of Tamil Nadu, Coorg, Kerala, and some parts of Karnataka.
## How to select a good Avocado
A ripe avocado should be slightly soft but without sunken spots or cracks. It should be firm and can be ripened at home by storing it in a paper bag at room temperature. Once ripe, it can be refrigerated for up to a week.
